Ahoy, Tycoons.
Every port on the map has a name on it now. Here is how Port Seals work.
The Tycoon who has traded the most at a port holds its seal. Their portrait and name sit above that port on the map, along with the volume they have traded there this season.
It is a public mark. Anyone opening the map can see who holds which harbor right now, and how much it took to hold it.
Seals are counted per port, not across the map. Thirteen harbors mean thirteen separate contests, and you can lead one without leading any other.
A port nobody has traded at this season carries no seal at all. The first settled voyage there takes it, so an untouched harbor at the start of a season is the easiest seal on the board.
Tapping a seal portrait opens that Tycoon’s harbor, through the same visit flow you already know from the Social tab. Tapping the port marker still opens the port as before.
Seasons run by the calendar month. Every seal resets when the month turns over in UTC, so each harbor opens again and last month’s standing does not carry forward.
What does carry forward is the star. Hold a port when the season closes and a star is added beside your name at that port. It stays there whether or not you hold the seal later, so a Tycoon who has taken a harbor three seasons running wears three stars at that harbor.
Stars belong to the port where you won them, not to you across the map. A harbor you have defended for months reads differently from one you took last week, and now the map says so.
Open the Leaderboard and tap Your Seals. You will see the ports you currently lead, your stars at each, how far ahead of second place you are, and how long the season has left to run.
A trading empire is easier to feel when it has a shape on the map. Thirteen harbors, thirteen contests, and a mark on each one showing who has been sailing there hardest this month.
Pick a harbor worth holding, and go take it.
